Terms of service

These Terms govern access to and use of the Product and the Portal.

IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ANY PART OF THIS DOCUMENT OR BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE REVISED OR REMOVED, PLEASE INFORM YOUR COORDINATOR AND HELP US IMPROVE.

Acceptance and scope. By using the Product you confirm that you have permission to access the Portal and agree to these Terms. The Product is provided as a private access solution and may be modified or discontinued without notice. If you do not agree, do not use the Product.

Definitions. The Product and the Portal mean G4 HomeMedia and its web interface. The User is any person who accesses the Portal or uses the Mobile App. The Coordinator is the person who provides access or manages the access program. The Mobile App is the official G4 HomeMedia application for mobile devices. Home Infrastructure means the User's local services, storage, and Home Assistant instance. A Wearable Device is a personal device such as a heart rate sensor, blood pressure monitor, or fitness band. A Third-Party Service is any external cloud or vendor system not operated by the Product. Credentials are any tokens, keys, or secrets used for access. Content is any data stored in or transmitted through Home Infrastructure. Direct Device Mode means a Mobile App connection to a Wearable Device without a cloud service.

Purpose and limitations. The Product provides private access to Home Infrastructure behind CGNAT and integrates with Home Assistant. The Product is not a public hosting platform and is not intended for mass distribution or commercial hosting. The Product may change features, behavior, or availability at any time.

Access and invitations. Access is invitation based. Invitations and Credentials are personal and must not be shared with unauthorized users. The User is responsible for safeguarding Credentials, devices, and local access. If additional access is required for other household members, the User should contact the Coordinator.

Acceptable use. The User must not attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with service availability, perform brute force attempts, or use the Product for unlawful activity. Abuse, suspicious behavior, or automated attacks may result in immediate suspension or termination of access.

Security responsibilities. The User is responsible for the security of Home Infrastructure, including operating system updates, passwords, firewall rules, and Home Assistant configuration. The Product does not guarantee that Home Infrastructure remains secure or that Content will be preserved.

Data handling and ownership. The Product does not process Personal Data and does not claim ownership of User Content. If the User transmits data that could be considered personal, the User remains responsible for compliance with applicable laws. The Product does not share data with Third-Party Services and has no third party integrations.

Wearable Devices and cloud services. Integrations with cloud services that manage Wearable Devices occur only inside the User's Home Assistant instance. The Product does not connect to those clouds and does not transmit data to them. Direct connections to Wearable Devices without cloud services are handled by the Mobile App in accordance with device specifications and only when explicitly enabled by the User.

Availability and maintenance. The Product is provided as is without warranties of availability, performance, or fitness for a particular purpose. Planned or emergency maintenance may occur without notice. The Product may implement rate limits or verification steps to protect stability.

Compatibility and network conditions. The Product does not guarantee compatibility with every router, ISP, or network environment. The User is responsible for network configuration, firewall rules, and access policies. Connectivity may be limited by ISP restrictions or local conditions.

Logging and diagnostics. The Product may record limited Operational Data to maintain reliability and security. This data includes technical identifiers and timing information and is used for diagnostics, not for advertising or profiling.

Intellectual property. The Product, the Portal, and the Mobile App remain the property of their respective owners. The User receives a limited, revocable right to access the Product for private use in accordance with these Terms.

Termination. Access may be suspended or terminated if the User violates these Terms or if the Coordinator revokes access. Upon termination, the User must stop using the Product and remove any saved Credentials.

Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Product is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, data loss, or business interruption. Responsibility for backups and recovery remains with the User.

Indemnity. The User agrees to hold harmless the Product operators from claims arising out of misuse, unauthorized access, or illegal activities conducted through the User's Home Infrastructure.

Updates. The Product may update these Terms as needed. Continued use indicates acceptance of updates. If the User does not agree with updates, the User should stop using the Product and contact the Coordinator.

Notices. The Coordinator is the primary contact for notices about access, updates, or policy changes.
